Misunderstood No More: Examining the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of social anxiety.

The Andrew Kukes Foundation for Social Anxiety and Macomb Community Mental Health invites you to join us for this educational event created for professionals, sufferers, family members and friends to gain a better understanding of social anxiety and the importance of proper diagnosis, treatment and support. The event will showcase a presentation by social anxiety expert and author, Jonathan Berent, L.C.S.W., A.C.S.W., who will discuss the effects of social anxiety on children, adolescents and adults. Mental health professionals also have the opportunity to earn 2 CEUs by attending this event.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Jonathan Berent, L.C.S.W., A.C.S.W. is a social anxiety expert and author of Beyond Shyness: How to Conquer Social Anxieties and Work Makes Me Nervous: Overcome Anxiety and Build the Confidence to Succeed. Jonathan Berent’s evidenced-based clinical work has been proven effective and offers a new approach to working with adults and children who suffer from social anxiety.
